Rewiring, Not Retiring – The Next Chapter

For the past two years, I’ve been talking about my transition—moving from “retiring” to “rewiring.” Most people dream of retirement, only to find themselves asking, “What’s next?” I knew I wasn’t going to retire in the traditional sense; instead, I’m stepping into a new phase of reinvention, one that feels more aligned, more intentional, and frankly, more fun.

As an M&A attorney, I’ve spent years helping business owners navigate their exits, but now I’m asking myself:

Every decade, I have worked to “rewire” for myself and my clients — to evolve, to grow, and to ensure we’re not just working, but creating significance. And now, I’m stepping fully into this next phase. Some of you have playfully called me “soulful” or “holistic,” and the truth is, I’m embracing that. It’s not about being a traditional attorney any longer–it’s about impact, about loving the work I do and the people I do it with.
